Linked Up and IN

This summer was my first real life taste of LinkedIn. I created one in high school, but you don’t use the platform to the fullest at that age. However, everyone, and I mean everyone, in DC lives and dies by their LinkedIn. If you met someone and didn’t send them an invitation within a few days, you missed a grand opportunity. Whilst I could go on forever about the town of DC being LinkedIn personified, it is a huge deal there. I felt this pressure then to update mine and work on it. Fortunately, it became an intern activity to keep improving your LinkedIn and create connections. I have managed to cultivate a couple hundred by this time, so I think I am doing it right. I even added one of the Fastnal guys on there, and he thought it was funny. I have been on the networking ball since I came back!
